Electrochemical Amplification in Side-by-Side Attoliter Nanogap Transducers
We report a strategy for the fabrication of a new type of electrochemical nanogap transducer. These nanogap devices are based on signal amplification by redox cycling. Using two steps of electron-beam lithography, vertical gold electrodes are fabricated side by side at a 70 nm distance encompassing a 20 attoliter open nanogap volume. We demonstrate a current amplification factor of 2.5 as well ...
متن کاملComplexity matching in side-by-side walking.
Interpersonal coordination represents a very common phenomenon in daily-life activities. Three theoretical frameworks have been proposed to account for synchronization processes in such situations: the information processing approach, the coordination dynamics perspective, and the complexity matching effect. On the basis of a theoretical analysis of these frameworks, we propose three statistica...
متن کاملPair Programming vs. Side-by-Side Programming
In agile methodologies communication between programmers is very important. Some of them (e.g. XP or Crystal Clear) recommend pair programming. There are two styles of pair programming: XP-like and side-byside (the latter comes from Crystal Clear). In the paper an experiment is described that aimed at comparison of those two styles. The subjects were 25 students of Computer Science of 4 and 5 y...
متن کامل7 Types of Cooperation Episodes in Side-by-Side Programming
In side-by-side programming, two programmers (typically working on related aspects of a project) move their computers so close to one another that they can effortlessly change between working alone and working together, where working alone is the primary mode. The technique was proposed in order to obtain some of the advantages of pair programming at much lower overhead. As a first step towards...
